About us

Meaning of SATVA is organic, sustainable, green, and nature. Also known as hero or mind of courage or courageous mind.


Satva Automotive was formed as a business diversification of our main stake holder WindForce PLC. Satva will represent various automotive brands on the sustainable transportation platform. Satva will provide island wide sales, aftersales and parts to all our customers.


Main stakeholder is WindForce PLC the largest renewable energy developer in Sri Lanka.


WindForce PLC has two main stakeholder, Akbar brothers (largest tea exporter in Sri Lanka) and Hidramani (largest garment manufacturer in Sri Lanka).

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mr. Manjula Perera

Managing Director

Mr. Perera is currently the Managing Director of WindForce PLC, which is the largest renewable energy developer in Sri Lanka. WindForce own and operate 230MW of wind, solar and mini hydro power plants in Sri Lanka and overseas. 

Mr. Perera began his career at Lanka Transformers Limited, the largest private sector power generation company in Sri Lanka. He worked for over a decade at various managerial levels, from Design Engineer to Group Business Development Manager.

A Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, UK, Mr. Perera graduated with first-class honours in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. Mr. Perera also holds a MEng from the University of Moratuwa.

Mr. Hussain Akbarally

Executive Director

Mr. Hussain holds a degree in Science from the University of Melbourne, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Hussain currently serves as an Executive Director of Akbar Brothers (Pvt) Ltd, and its subsidiaries. Akbar Brothers is Sri Lanka’s largest exporter of Ceylon Tea to the international market and has diversified interests in the areas of pharmaceuticals, import trading, renewable energy, property management, manufacturing, hospitality, agriculture and environmental control.

Hussain has spearheaded the Group’s ventures into the avenues of solar power, hospitality and agriculture amongst others. He was honoured as one of the New Energy Leaders by the Asian Development Bank in 2018 for his work in the renewable energy space.

Mr. Parthiva Hirdaramani

Executive Director

Parthiva Hirdaramani joined the Board of Directors of the Hirdaramani Group in 2021. He oversees the functions of LICC Jeans our retail brand. The Hirdaramani Group owns apparel manufacturing facilities across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Ethiopia.

Parthiva was educated at Harrow School in the UK and holds a BA Degree from the University of Miami, Florida, USA.

Mr. Chaminda Perera

Director/CEO

Chaminda Perera has 20+ years of experience in the automotive sector and he is the Co-founder of  Deranya (Private) Limited sole distributor of CASE IH AG farm equipments in Sri Lanka. He was a director at Associated Motorways (Private) Limited, CEO Ideal Motors & Ideal 2W (Pvt) Ltd, CEO of Chandra Senanayake Holdings (Automotive Sector), and CEO of Regency Automotive Sector subsidiary of IWS Holdings.

During his automotive tenure, he was responsible for brands such as Jaguar, Porsche, Volvo, Proton, GM, SsangYong, Piaggio, Renault, New Holland tractors, Yamaha Leisure, Yamaha Generators, Castrol Lubricants and Mahindra & Mahindra. He also spent a brief time with airline industry working for British Airways in Colombo. At the business chamber, he is the President of Sri Lanka China Business Council. Studied at St. Joseph’s College Colombo and holds a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from Drake Business College in NY USA.

Mr. Lasith Wimalasena

Chief Executive Officer

Lasith Wimalasena was appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of WindForce in September 2020. Lasith joined WindForce in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer of in August 2013. He has acquired over 24 years of professional experience and brings in expertise in large-scale project management skills in the power sector and in manufacturing environments.

He commenced his career at LTL Transformers/ LTL Galvanizers Ltd in 1996. Up until joining WIND in 2013 he held multiple managerial roles in several businesses within the LTL Group of companies. Lasith held the position of Project Manager at LTL Projects, an Engineering Project management company and overlooked two key projects. The LTL Group During his tenure within the LTL Group Lasith has played key roles in implementing several productivity improvements projects and in implementing ISO certified Quality Management Systems.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours Degree with specialisation in Chemistry from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
